It has been a year since India ended their 17-year wait for a T20 World Cup title, securing the trophy after a thrilling final match against South Africa at Kensington Oval. The intense match went to the final over, with India ultimately maintaining composure to grab the title.

This triumph was not solely about the final game; it represented the peak of a flawless campaign. Throughout the tournament, India remained undefeated, consistently demonstrating dominance, resilience, and strong character.

One of the most memorable moments was the high-stakes clash between rivals India and Pakistan. “It wasn’t just a game,” Rohit remembered. “Two days before the match, we were locked in — tight security, fans everywhere, you could feel something special was coming. It felt like a festival had taken over.”

India narrowly defeated Pakistan by six runs in a tense, low-scoring showdown. Jasprit Bumrah's exceptional performance, taking 3 wickets for 14 runs, earned him the Player of the Match award.

Despite an early setback with the quick loss of key batsmen including Kohli, Rohit, and Axar, Rishabh Pant's courageous innings of 42 runs from 31 balls helped recover India, bringing the score to 119.

“On that pitch, his 42 was like scoring 70,” Rohit noted, highlighting the significance of Pant's contribution under pressure. “We knew 140 was par, but with our bowlers, even 119 could work.”

Rohit gave credit to Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh for their excellent execution of the game plan. “Bumrah is a weapon — he takes wickets and dries up runs. Arshdeep’s been brilliant too, and they were crucial in pushing the game in our favour.”

From the electric atmosphere of the India-Pakistan match to the thrilling final in Barbados, Rohit's reflections create a lasting tribute to a team that delivered unforgettable moments to the nation.
