Moto G54 Gets Significant Price Cut in India: Is It the Best Budget Phone Now?

If you're in the market for a budget-friendly smartphone, the Moto G54 is now an even more attractive option. Launched last year, both versions of the Moto G54 have received significant price cuts. This device boasts an FHD+ display and operates on a MediaTek Dimensity chipset.

New Pricing Details

Motorola introduced the Moto G54 to the Indian market in September of the previous year. The phone was initially released in two configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, priced at Rs 15,999 and Rs 18,999, respectively.

The 8GB RAM variant has now seen its price reduced by Rs 2,000, making it available for Rs 13,999. The 12GB RAM version has received an even larger price cut of Rs 3,000, now selling for Rs 15,999. The Moto G54 is available in Mint Green, Midnight Blue, and Pearl Blue.

Moto G54: Key Specifications

The Moto G54 features a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080x2400 pixels. The screen offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness level of up to 560 nits. Protection is provided by a layer of Panda Glass.

This affordable smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset and comes in the aforementioned configurations of 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.

Running on Android 13 with Motorola's My UX skin, the Moto G54 includes a dual rear camera setup. This consists of a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, there's a 16MP front camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IP54 rating, providing resistance against dust and splashes. The device is powered by a 6000 mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging.
