Live broadcast of Ayodhya Ram Mandir Aarti
Doordarshan will telecast live the Mangala, Shringaar, Rajbhog, Sandhya, and Shayan Aartis offered to the Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya Ram temple on DD National, connecting devotees who can't visit the temple.

Doordarshan, the national broadcaster, has announced a significant development for devotees of Lord Ram. The network will now broadcast the morning prayers offered to the Ram Lalla idol at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya live every day.

The announcement was made via a post on X, formerly Twitter. According to the post, the morning aarti dedicated to Ram Lalla will be broadcast live on DD National at 6:30 am daily.

This decision aims to connect Lord Ram's devotees, especially those unable to visit the temple in person following its grand inauguration less than two months ago. The Aarti will also be available on DD’s YouTube channel simultaneously.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has authorized this initiative. Currently, the Trust lacks the logistical infrastructure for live broadcasts, so Doordarshan will deploy a small crew of two to three members to the temple grounds to cover the daily ritual. Initially, DD will broadcast the “Mangala aarti” for a few months. Afterwards, the Ram Temple Trust will reassess the arrangement and determine how to proceed.

Daily Aarti Schedule at the Ayodhya Ram Temple

Six Aartis are performed daily for Ram Lalla at the Ayodhya Ram Temple:

  • Mangala Aarti: 4:30 am
  • Shringaar Aarti: 6:30 am
  • Rajbhog Aarti: 12 noon
  • Utthapan Aarti: 2 pm
  • Sandhya Aarti: 7 pm
  • Shayan Aarti: 10 pm

The temple trust has issued instructions for devotees attending Aarti. Entry to the Mangala Aarti (4:30 AM), Shringar Aarti (6:15 AM), and Shayan Aarti (10 PM) requires an entry pass. No passes are needed for the other Aartis.

Advisory for Devotees from Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has issued an advisory for devotees visiting the temple for darshan:

  • The temple is open for Darshan from 6:30 AM to 9:30 PM.
  • The process from entry to exit after Darshan is designed to be simple and convenient, typically taking 60 to 75 minutes.

Devotees are advised to leave mobile phones, footwear, purses, and other personal items outside the temple premises for convenience and to save time.

Flowers, garlands, and Prasad are not permitted inside the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir.
