Bollywood actress Esha Gupta has finally addressed the long-standing rumors surrounding her connection with Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya. In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Gupta shed light on the nature of their brief acquaintance.

Gupta revealed that while they were in contact for a few months, their connection never evolved into a serious dating relationship. She cited compatibility issues and unfavorable timing as the primary reasons for their brief association ending prematurely.
"Yeah, for some time we were talking. I don't think we were dating, but yeah, we were talking for a couple of months," Gupta stated, clarifying the extent of their involvement. She further explained that their interactions remained in the preliminary stages, never progressing beyond a few meetings.
"We were at that 'maybe it will happen, maybe it won't' stage. It ended before we even reached the dating stage. So it wasn't dating-dating. We met once or twice, that's it. So yeah, as I said, it was a couple of months and then it ended."
Gupta acknowledged the potential for a relationship, but admitted that circumstances led to its swift conclusion. "Maybe it could have happened," she said, adding that "things fizzled out quickly."
The actress emphasized that their communication ended amicably, without any lingering resentment.

"There was no drama or bitterness," she stated. "It just wasn't meant to be."
Gupta also addressed Pandya's controversial appearance on Koffee With Karan in 2019, confirming that their communication had already ceased before the incident occurred.
"That part didn't affect me, because we had already stopped talking by then," she explained.
Gupta further revealed her decision to refrain from adding to the criticism surrounding Pandya during the controversy.
"They were already going through enough. What good would it do if I jumped in with more criticism?" she said.
Hardik Pandya is currently not part of the Indian cricket team's five-match Test tour of England. His next anticipated appearance for the Indian team is against Bangladesh in August.
