Arshdeep Singh Reveals Training Ground Antics with Bowling Coach Morne Morkel
A recent video circulating on social media captured a lighthearted moment during Team India's net session in Birmingham, featuring pacers Arshdeep Singh and Akash Deep engaging in a playful wrestling match with their bowling coach, Morne Morkel.
Neither Arshdeep nor Akash Deep were part of the playing XI in the recent match where India faced a five-wicket defeat.
In a video shared by the BCCI, left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh shed light on the story behind the viral clip. He explained that Morkel had devised a unique way to conclude their practice sessions.
According to Arshdeep, Morkel would declare that upon the session's end, he would execute a final move, pinning Arshdeep, signaling the end of practice. "Morne found a new way to call off the day," Arshdeep humorously added, explaining that Morkel was simply demonstrating his novel method.
India currently trails 0-1 in the five-match series after their defeat. England successfully chased down a target of 371 runs on the final day of the first Test, securing a five-wicket victory.
Concerns regarding workload management have led to speculation that pacer Jasprit Bumrah will only participate in three out of the five games.
